Ok, I admit it - I’m probably behind the curve on the latest and greatest ways to communicate via the world wide web. There’s Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedln - to name a few ways to socially connect on the internet.
I personally love to Blog – for those of you out there who may not be familiar with the term – blogs are web logs – ongoing, informal communications about topics of interest. Blogs are easy and inexpensive to create. Blogs create an additional avenue for creating a web presence. Some additional benefits are:
• Blogs create a searchable archive of content where every entry has a unique URL. This feature makes it easier to find through Google or other search engines.
• Blogs create an arena of dynamic, ongoing communication
• The creator can tailor the blog to a selected audience or open it to the internet world
• Blogs are great vehicles for marketing yourself, services or products that you offer
• A blog page is less expensive than a webpage. Although, you can place a link on your webpage that directs traffic to your blog page.
So, do you have a product to sell or do you want to share information on that great article you read? Consider blogging – it’s a habit you just may enjoy.
